Alarm Clock for Me alternative: Alarm Clock for Me vs Alarm Clock Planner
Alarm Clock for Me is a good-looking bedside clock. As an alarm it is weaker than it looks: the alarm is a notification, which asked us to turn Silent mode off before it could ring, and its paid plans are weekly or yearly subscriptions.*
Pick Alarm Clock for Me if you want designer clock faces on the nightstand and weather, and you are fine with an alarm that arrives as a notification and asks for Silent mode off.
Pick Alarm Clock Planner if you want alarms that ring as native alarms with Silent on, 0 ads and a one-time price.

Where Alarm Clock for Me is stronger
Nightstand clock faces
Designer clock faces, weather, a sleep timer and a flashlight, for a phone that sits on the nightstand all night. The iPhone's own StandBy mode already shows a big clock, the weather and widgets while it charges on its side, with no ads and nothing to buy.
Stop by shaking or solving
Shake the phone or solve a math problem to turn the alarm off. With the app closed, though, the alarm is a notification, so it follows the Silent switch.
Where Alarm Clock Planner is stronger
Rings with Silent on
Alarm Clock Planner uses Apple's native alarms, so it rings full screen through Silent and Focus with the app closed, the same way Apple does it with their Clock app. Alarm Clock for Me's alarm is a notification: in our test it asked us to switch Silent mode off so the alarm could ring, and its listing says it will not ring with notifications turned off.
Opens on your alarms, not a sales pitch
No upgrade screen on launch and 0 ads. Alarm Clock for Me opened on its upgrade screen every time we launched it, carries a banner ad, and covered the app with a full-screen ad after we saved an alarm.

Unlimited alarms are $9.99 once or $2.99 a year. Alarm Clock for Me sells weekly plans from $0.99 to $2.99, or $19.99 a year (US).

What we saw using Alarm Clock for Me
From 20 to 23 October 2026, on an iPhone 11 Pro Max with iOS 27.0.1, on an EU App Store account.†
- It opened on its upgrade screen every time we launched it, offering weekly or yearly plans with no one-time option.
- After we saved an alarm, a full-screen ad covered the app, and 40 seconds later we still had not found a way to close it.
- When the alarm came, it was a notification asking us to turn Silent mode off so the alarm could ring.
What Alarm Clock Planner does not do
- Make you shake or solve. Stopping is a slide, like the Clock app. For a second chance, set backup alarms a few minutes apart, or one alarm with your own snooze length and snooze limit.
- Ask you to turn Silent off. Native alarms ring through it.
- Charge by the week. Up to 3 alarms are free, then $2.99 a year or $9.99 once.
- 0 ads, even in the free version.
What recent reviews of Alarm Clock for Me mention
From US App Store reviews of Alarm Clock for Me read on 23 October 2026 (most recent and most helpful). These are individual experiences, not tests we ran, but these themes came up more than once:
- frequent ads, including ads playing in the middle of the night
- weekly charges starting after a free trial
- alarms that did not go off
- having to keep the app open for a music alarm
Pricing
Alarm Clock for Me's free version comes with ads, banner and full-screen ones in our test, and it opens on its upgrade screen every launch. Premium costs $0.99 to $2.99 a week or $19.99 a year (US). Alarm Clock Planner's free version has 0 ads and holds up to 3 alarms at a time; unlimited alarms are $2.99 a year or $9.99 once.

* We make Alarm Clock Planner, so weigh our view accordingly. Facts about the other apps come from their US App Store listings, privacy policies and public US reviews, checked on 23 October 2026, and from using each app ourselves. Versions compared: Alarm Clock for Me 3.19.23, Alarm Clock Planner 1.3.4.
** US App Store prices. The US list does not name plan lengths, so a plan's length comes from the app's own upgrade screen, and a US price is used only where it clearly matches that plan. “Cost for one year if subscribed” is the cheapest plan that covers 12 months. A mark on “Pay once” only says whether a one-time unlock exists; “2.5× ours” compares a price with Alarm Clock Planner's $9.99 once or $2.99 a year. Two prices are estimates, marked “about”, because the US list does not show them: Alarmy's lifetime plan (Alarmy charges the same number in dollars and euros, as its yearly plan shows, so we took the figure from its upgrade screen) and Sleep Cycle's yearly plan.
*** From each listing, checked on our own iPhone: iOS Settings shows an Alarms switch for apps that use Apple's native alarms (AlarmKit, iOS 26 and later), and we let an alarm ring with each app closed where the app let us set one. A cross means it does not use them: the app has to stay open, or it alerts through notifications, which are short and, unless they are Critical Alerts, follow the Silent switch.
† What we saw using each app ourselves, 20 to 23 October 2026, on an iPhone 11 Pro Max with iOS 27.0.1, on an EU App Store account. Ads and offers can differ by country and change over time. On “Set alarms without paying”, a tick means free with no ads, amber means free with ads or without the native alarm, and a cross means a payment or a trial comes first.
